ATC English started from a simple problem. Great simulators, great apps, but nothing that actually made you better at talking on the radio under real pressure. So I built it myself.
ATC English was founded by an ATP-rated pilot with over 4,000 flight hours accumulated entirely in the United States. All flight training was completed in the US meaning the phraseology wasn't studied from a book, it was lived from student pilot to ATP.
Holding CFI, CFII, and MEI certificates, our founder has spent extensive time training foreign pilots students from over 30 countries who know aviation cold but struggle the moment a controller starts speaking at 140 words per minute in a New York accent.
The exact points where non-native pilots freeze are well understood. What controllers actually expect versus what the AIM says. The difference between a pilot who has memorized phraseology and one who has it automatic.
ATC English exists because that gap is real and fixable but only through live practice under realistic pressure, not apps or pre-recorded videos. Every session is built around one principle: error, correction, immediate repetition. You don't leave until the right phrase comes out automatically.
